Breda Jazz Festival
Since 1971 the Breda Jazz Festival has grown into a magnificent four-day musical event
appealing to a wide audience. The kick-off is on Ascension Day, at 13.00 on the Grote
Markt. Four days later, on Sunday evening, the last notes are played.
Almost 20 stages
In the beginning, the ‘Turfschip’ (a former eventhall located at the Chasséveld) was the main center of of our festival. The outdoors concerts were mainly located on the Havermarkt and the Grote Markt. Nowadays, our festival counts almost 20 stages located throughout the city, each with its own characteristics and jazz style.
These outdoors concerts are free of charge and accessible for everyone. For some of our indoors concerts tickets are available. Every year at Easter Monday, the official ticket sale starts during the “Jazzin’ Around” event in the Ginneken-area in Breda.
‘Lexicon of Infinite Movement’ is the first Dutch museum solo exhibition of Charlotte Posenenske, one of the most important German minimalists.
And these works of art highlight the words of Minimalist artist Charlotte Posenenske. What’s more, curated by Suzanne Wallinga and Eloise Sweetman, the opening on May 18th, 3PM, promises to be amazing.
Kroller Muller Museum
Charlotte Posenenske is a truly exceptional young, contemporary artist. And the Kröller-Müller Museum commissioned the New Zealand Ruth Buchanan and the Dutch Yeb Wiersma to contribute to her art work. Both these artists are specialized in pieces just like Posenenske’s. More excitingly, Ruth Buchanan and Yeb Wiersma fit perfectly with Charlotte Posenenske by demonstrating minimalism with maximum moving power.
Lastly, this museum is one of Europe’s largest sculpture gardens. In the sculpture garden, you can enjoy both sculptures and nature. Distributed throughout the garden are over 160 sculptures by iconic artists, from Aristide Maillol to Jean Dubuffet, from Marta Pan to Pierre Huyghe.
Additionally, the All Together Now Dutch edition is presented by Chantal Janzen and Jamai Loman. Moreover, the “All Together Now juryleden” will be aired from the 3rd May until 14th June 2019 @ 20:30pm. RTL4
What’s more, the menu showcases creative dishes, incorporating edible flowers, fresh herbs and seasonally grown produce, where possible organic and locally sourced. Furthermore, Eat Well Do Good have a separate children’s area and plenty of room outside for them to play safely. So, you can enjoy a relaxed, casual and stress-free dining experience.

What is a naming ceremony? Well, if you’re not religious and do not wish for a christening then a non-religious naming ceremony is perfect. It is the ideal way to celebrate the arrival of your child. What’s more, the naming ceremony is an alternative to a christening. The special ceremony happens outside a place of worship.
